Professional Blogging - The Best Way to Earn Extra Money

Professional blogging has become extremely popular in the past few years. Blogs haven't been around that long; nevertheless, they are one of the best sources of information there is available. That's one of the main reasons blogging has taken off like it has.

There are a few different ways to make money as a professional blogger. One is through business. Many companies hire bloggers to set up blogs with information about their company. You could potentially become a professional blogger for the company you work for or create a company of your own.

Another type of professional blogging is network probloggers like Darren Rowse who have authority type blogs that have paved the way for others.

Then there are those of us who create and maintain blogs for the sole purpose of making part-time or full time money. That's what I do, I consider myself a professional niche blogger. And this was made possible by joining a membership of 700 other bloggers called the Niche Blogger.

I decided if I was going to do professional blogging that I was going to learn from the best. When I did research I came across Amy Bass' testimony, she's the owner of NB, I learned she had paid off all her debt just by blogging, over $72,000!

Then I knew I had found the mentor and coach I needed to make my financial freedom goal a reality not just a dream. I hated my job and wanted to work from home. Consequently, following in Amy's footsteps is the best decision I have made.

This is not hype it's for real. Amy has a proven method that works do you? Or are you still frustrated every day trying to make money blogging with trial and error?

Professional blogging can be your way to financial freedom if you REALLY want it to be. You can even get started at no cost with a free 3 day trial offer. Why not give it a try you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

5 Stupid Ways to Sink Your Blog!

Successful blogging is fairly straightforward. Even if you make a few mistakes or don't do everything optimally, your blog can be very effective. There are a few errors however you don't want to make. Avoid the five common errors below!

1) Don't stay on topic!

Ahhh, you just had a baby -- please post a couple dozen pictures and blog on nipple soreness and whatever else for a few weeks. We won't mind, really.
And if your college curling team or favorite NFL team is in the finals or Super Bowl, please post about it for days on end. If you care then we must care. After all it's your blog, not ours. We are merely peasant readers.
What were you blogging on anyways?

2) Be insular.

Yeah, maybe they call it social media but you can be antisocial if you'd like. Don't link to others. Don't read, never mind comment, on other blogs.
Your never ending soliloquy is enough for us to flock to your blog daily for the rest of our lives. If soliloquies are good enough for Hamlet, then they're good enough for us!

3) Write like traditional writing, not speaking.
Conversational, smonversational! We want perfect English, proofread multiple times and make every post worthy of publishing in an encyclopedia (remember those?) or The New Yorker.

4) Don't let us know who you are!
No picture, no about us page, nothing personal. Your profound thoughts are enough for us! Your identity is your own business.

5) Lots of colors, dozens of fonts, flashing lights, autoplay audio.
Make your blog look like a casino, or even MySpace.

Avoid the five unfortunately not so uncommon errors above at your own peril. And if any of them remind you or your blog, you can always go fix the error and your blog will improve.

Blog - Create a Creative Portfolio Blog to Get Jobs

Are you a creative? Writers, designers, photographers, film makers and other creative workers can quickly develop a paying audience for their work, and can get jobs too, using a blog. Your blog is a hub for all your marketing activities.
Before you start blogging however, you need to plan to ensure that your audience finds you. Let's look at four steps to creating a high-traffic blog which will get you all the creative jobs you want.

1. Targeting: Who's Your Audience?
Start by defining your audience. Who will hire you? Think about your audience's needs.
If you're new to this kind of thinking, visit the outsourcing sites. Buyers post projects on these sites, looking for bidders. Which projects could you complete? Assessing the projects will help you to target an audience.
For example, if you're a designer, you may decide that your audience is online advertising companies, or graphics design agencies. You could even decide to target small businesses directly.
Take your time thinking about your audience. Make notes. The more you know about your buyers, the more jobs you'll get.

2. Keywords: Use the Words Buyers Would Use to Find You
Now you know who your audience is, it's time to find a list of keywords that they would use, when they're searching for someone to provide the services they need.
For example, if you're a writer, and you're targeting buyers of Web content, go to a keyword tool, and enter "Web writer" into the query field. Think like a buyer, and copy all the words which apply -- "website writer, freelance writer", etc.
Use these words on your blog's posts.

3. What's in It for Me? Create Your Blog from the Point of View of Your Buyers
Again, remembering your buyers, and the information they need to hire you, create a list of items you could blog about.

4. Choose a Blog Platform
There are dozens of blogging applications you could use. However, choose one which lets you get up and running quickly. Don't dither.
Choose. You can always switch to another platform later, just pick one.
If you're completely new to blogging, choose Blogger. Google's tool is simple to use, and efficient.

5. Create Your Blog's Content
Finally, it's time to create your blog's content. Keep step #3 in mind -- write your content from the point of view of your buyers. Include the information they want and need to hire you.

So, you now have five steps to creating a creative portfolio blog which will help you to get jobs now, and for years to come.

If you have a niche then you can focus on that one thing until you have it down pat then move on to another niche. After all, it's lack of focus that causes most bloggers and internet marketers to fail.

That's why niche blogging or niche marketing is so popular it pretty much demands you focus on one product or service. And explains why so many make money online now by doing it. A lot of people think multi-tasking is the way to go, but it isn't. The absolute best way to be successful is to focus on one thing and do it better than anyone else.

The secret to niche blogging is to make sure there is a demand for the product or service you are providing. To do this you need to do keyword research and find out how many people are searching for your product. To make the most money possible you also need a proven method or a plan if you will.

You also need to be cautious of competition. If the competition is tough you may have a harder time making money. However, if you know you're more knowledgeable and can keep up with or even outdo them then by all means go for it.

Once you know there is a demand and competition isn't too tough then it's time to go to work promoting your niche. You will have to spend considerable time promoting your blog/niche if you want to make money online now days.

Getting Ideas For Blog Content - Where I Get My Ideas

Sometimes it's really hard to get ideas for blog content. If you've been writing for awhile, then you may have a time when you run out of ideas or feel like there's absolutely nothing left to write about your topic.

Of course, there still are plenty of things that you can write about. You just need a bit of inspiration. These are some of the ways that I find new things to talk about.

I check the news. I read the daily newspaper and look for interesting pieces of news online. You'll often be able to find noteworthy topics that relate to your niche. Or, you may get an idea for a new blog.

I check other blogs. Reading other blogs in your niche gives you a good idea of what people are talking about and what people are interested in reading. Of course, you don't want to copy their ideas, but take your own slant on it. Be sure to mention where you got your idea from. For example, you may want to say, "Blogger, over at That Blogging Site was talking about this and it got me to thinking..."

I have an idea box. Or notebook, whatever works best for you. I like to keep a running list in a Word document of things related to my blog topic that I could write about. Because I do this, I always have some place to look for ideas when I feel like I've run out.

I ask my readers what they want to read. One of the great things about blogging is that it brings you closer to your readers. It's more interactive than a traditional website. So interact with your readers. Ask them what they'd like to read about. You'll probably end up with tons of ideas that you wouldn't have thought of on your own.

Blogging - Easy Blog Content Anyone Can Create

Blogging can be intimidating for new bloggers. How will you cope with writing content for your blog week after week? Relax. You can do it -- let's look at five easy types of content anyone can create.

1. Articles: Short and Long
Articles are basic blog content. Your articles may be short: just 200 words or even less.
They can also be long, if you want to cover a topic authoritatively. Be wary however, if your articles run to 2000 words and more. Long articles are difficult for new writers to control. Ensure that the structure is logical, and that you have a reason for writing at length.
As a rule of thumb, any article which is longer than 800 words usually benefits from splitting the content into shorter articles.

2. Link Posts
Link posts are just what they sound like: short posts, withe a list of links. These links may be to others' sites and blogs, or they may be internal links, to previous posts you've written.
Because of blogs' structure, great posts quickly get buried. New readers will appreciate it if you link to great material you've published in the past.

3. Review Posts
You can review affiliate products or anything else you choose. Many people research their purchases online; they want to know what others think of a product they're considering buying. Therefore, your review posts will be popular.

4. Definition Posts
Definition posts are those posts in which you define something or other. If you're blogging in the weight loss area for example, you could write definition posts on: obesity, the body mass index, low calorie diets -- define anything with which a newcomer to your topic may not be familiar.

5. Tutorial Posts
How-to, guides, and tutorial posts are always appreciated, by newcomers to your topic, and by old-timers too, to brush up on their knowledge.
Your tutorials can be short, or they can be extremely detailed and comprehensive, with images, and videos.
Although tutorials can be time-consuming to create, they're very popular, so are worth the extra effort.

So there you have five easy types of blog content you can create. Once you become familiar with these, blogging will hold no terrors for you.

How to Make Money From a Blog

How to make money from a blog is one of the most common questions asked by Internet marketers who are also bloggers, or by bloggers who want to make their first foray into monetizing their blogs. There are several common ways to have your blog be a profit center for you instead of just a fun way to pass the time. You're about to discover how to get paid for blogging.

You can make money from just about any blog, but if you start with the idea of pulling in a bit of cash from your posting efforts, your successful journey into entrepreneurship will be much easier. There are a couple of things you have to do in preparation for your little blog venture to make sure you're not starting the next non profit.

First is to do some research into the niche or theme that you'll be blogging about. You want a theme that has solid profit potential. There's no sense in prattling on and on about your crazy Aunt Mary or your family's visit to you brother Bob's house in Tuscaloosa. Although that may be of great interest to you, that's about as far as it will go.

You're trying to attract visitors that have some monetarily value to someone. You'll determine just who your visitors have value to from a business perspective by how you choose to monetize your blog. You have a veritable plethora of choices here. The most common source of revenue for bloggers is probably contextual advertising, such as Google's Adsense.

Contextual advertising is simply placing ads on your blog that are closely matched to the content of your post or page. The ad provider automatically looks at your post to determine what ads are the most relevant to the content of the particular post. When one of your visitors clicks on the ad, you're paid a percentage of the revenue paid by the advertiser.

The advantages are that if you're approved it's very easy to place the ads, and if you have significant traffic in a profitable niche, it can add up to big dollars. Many bloggers make an extra $20 - $100 a day using this kind of advertising, and some make far, far more than that.

The other popular way to get some cash from your blog is through affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing you are paid for referring one of your visitors to a merchant's website. Once they get there you'll be paid when your visitor performs the required action. The two most common types of actions are pay per sale and pay per lead actions.

With a pay per sale you're paid for referring one of your visitors that buys something. For example, if you have a blog about fishing, you can review a new fly rod, and then if you really like it, communicate that fact to your readers. Provide a link to a vendor with an affiliate program who sells that particular fly rod. If one of your visitors reads your review then clicks on your link to the vendor, and purchases it from them, you'll be paid a commission for your efforts.

Done correctly, this can be extremely lucrative. The advantages are that you have no customer service issues, as you're not selling any products, you're simply referring your visitors. The disadvantages are that you have no control, and are at the mercy of the vendors, who can, and do change the terms of their affiliate programs at will.

These are two of the most common ways to make money from your blog. There are countless more, including selling banner ads and using your blog as a sales tool for your own company or products. The point is that you don't have to just blog for fun if you know how to make money from a blog.

Blogging - The Latest Internet Craze

There was a time not too long ago that blogging was heard of and known by on a few internet surfers and nerds. Today, however, blogging is used by millions and has proven quite successful for internet marketing and promoting your services or product. For almost any interest you may have, you'll be able to find a place to blog. For the few that actually are unfamiliar with blogging, blogging is very similar to writing in a journal, diary or chat room. The internet is filled with blogging sites. Some are diverse and generic and cover a number of topics while others cater more to a specific topic or niche. Blogging has become a very popular site for online business owners trying to promote their website or product, particularly when you develop a sort of relationship with other bloggers with similar interests.

You find a few sites made up of dog owners and dog trainers and begin blogging on their post. You develop a friendly rapport with the owner of the site, who allows you to post a link to your website. All the people that are viewing the blogging site now have access to your website. This is the kind of exposure you need to get your traffic flow built up. You may also find a blog owner that offers the same type of product as you. Often two owners will post each other's links on their pages to get more traffic to their own site. You may also choose to start your own blog and just keep adding to it until, eventually; you get more people blogging as well. Remember, good business is all about traffic flow, which comes from good advertising.

Does Blogging Make Money? Yes it Does!

People are still wondering to this day, "Does Blogging Make Money?" The answer: Yes, it does make money, but not by itself. You have to put in the effort to help your blog make money. You won't make any by just posting a few entries and wish on a hope and a prayer. You have to let people know your blog is out there. How do you do that?

You can market your blog by writing and submitting articles, using pay per click sites (i.e. Google AdWords), or you can post a comment on some of the relevant blogger's blogs. Be sure to include your signature line. Otherwise, the people won't be able to visit your blog.

There are other ways that blogging can make money. Again, it will require some work and effort on your part.

If you have your own blog, more than likely you will have products to sell. If you promote products that you created, you will get 100% of the profits (excluding fees from the payment merchants). This would be a win-win situation for you. As the product creator, you can determine whether or not you wish to add an affiliate program to the mix. It may help to do so, in the aspect of getting more visitors to your blog.

Are you still asking does blogging make money? If you're still not convinced, try affiliate marketing. As an affiliate marketer, you can make postings to your blog on a specific niche. You can promote a product that someone else created and receive a percentage of the profits.

The product should be related to the niche that you're writing about on your blog. As your audience learns to trust you, they won't hesitate to use their credit cards. Before you know it, you'll have a flood of orders and a mountain of profits.

Advertising is another way that blogging makes money. Having Google AdSense is one of the most lucrative ways that you can make money from your blog. You receive a percentage from the advertiser when someone clicks on their ad. It can be more lucrative if you have a steady and growing readership on your blog.

You can also have an information page on your blog for advertisers that can make your constant profits when they place their ads. The ad rates that you charge them should be comparable with other sites. You may wan to check around to see what the going rates are. Also, you don't want a lot of ads jumbled on your blog. This looks cluttered and unprofessional. It will also cause visitors and your regular readers to stop coming to your blog.

You can use one or all of these suggestions to make money with blogs. There are pros and cons, but if done correctly, you can have a lucrative income. It's also a good idea to test each method to see which one works for you. All of them may or may not work on your blog. You may be able to get one or two of these methods to make your blog profitable.

The question is asked again, "Does Blogging Make Money?" Yes it does.

Blogging For Fun

People tend to engage in blogging either for fun or for profit. Of course, people who blog for fun often make money from it, and people who blog for income have to enjoy what they do, or they will give it up pretty quickly.

There are millions of blogs on the internet, because people want to share their thoughts, and since the internet came along, that's easier than ever.

Some things that people share on their blogs can include:

* Opinions. Have you figured out what we should be doing about the economy? Do you have thoughts about how a certain vote or election should go? Are there education policies that you support or oppose? Do corporations exploit their customers? If you have an opinion about these things or any others, you can post it on your blog.
* Experiences. Are you struggling with a disease? Did you go to a certain university? Are you a parent, trying to become one, or determined never to have children? A blog is the perfect place to share your experiences. Many people will appreciate your thoughts on the things you have been through.
* Personal expression. This can include news about your family, your poetry, your artwork, random thoughts, plans for the future or reflections on the past. These blogs are about you, not you plus something else, so just say what's on your mind.
* Expertise. These kinds of blogs are often connected to your job or education. There are health blogs, education blogs, construction blogs, dry cleaning blogs, publishing blogs, and blogs focusing on any aspect of any industry you can think of. But you are part of one of those industries, and you have some skills to offer, too. A blog is a perfect place to do that.

Build Blog Traffic Fast

Ok you're first hot trends blog is set up and ready for visitors to come and read your content and hopefully click on your money making links. So let's get some visitors. Obviously we want all we can get in a short period of time.

Since we can't really count on Google to index out blog within 24 to 48 hours, so we can start seeing some traffic from organic searches, we need to build some back links to our blog that will generate traffic to our post from people interested in the content.

Here's the formula:

More links from popular sites = higher search engine positions for your page.

But for our Purposes:

The initial traffic boost comes from people using Social Bookmarking sites INSTEAD of search engines. Why? Because millions of people have learned that people who are actual users and not machines do a much better job of categorizing topical RELEVANT information than search engines do. Not that they have stopped using search engines all together, but they have found that their favorite social bookmarking site(s) are a viable resource.

Some Hot Trends Linger

When a hot trend lingers (Stays hot for a week or 2), back links from popular sites to your hot trend blogs can make a significant difference. How does Social Bookmarking build or generate traffic to your hot trends blog? The top (PR-5 and above), Social Bookmarking sites are very popular and therefore just getting your blog URL, description of your content and tags (Keywords), generate traffic from the social bookmarking sites themselves.

Google sees links coming from the more popular sites as having more weight when listing your blog in search engine results. If you have done your hot trends research right, there will be some ongoing interest in your hot trend topic.

(Note: In case you are not aware, PR ratings are popularity ratings Google assigns to sites based on numerous attributes including traffic served, searches for, searches found and the relevancy of those searches.) The higher the PR rating, the more popular the site is and the higher the PR rating. The lowest rating is - 0 - and the highest is 10. Anything ranked above a PR-5 is pretty popular, PR-7 and above are VERY popular and therefore are a great sites to have links from, (In the form of bookmarks), back to your site/blog.

Link building is a natural by-product of social bookmarking sites. Since you are using your links and blog posts as leverage while you network, it becomes very simple to locate groups of interest, and then to proceed with sharing your links through article submissions and relevant posts.

You don't have to get carried away with putting together your profile page on these sites. Something simple will do. Why? Because your primary reason for setting up an account is to build back links, not to socialize or make friends.

Increasing links to your website can be done in a few different ways, without spamming:

• Commenting on blogs, articles, and posts and providing link back information of relevance which is your hot trends content.

• Making sure people are aware of information that you have posted, by copying and pasting the link on relevant discussions or comments at the blogs on the hot trend you researched.

These are all effective traffic builders for your website, and can start to spread the message about a particular about your take on a hot trend topic by getting your links to your hot trends blog post bookmarked into the top social bookmarking sites.

Blogging - Passion is Not Enough

"You must be passionate about what you blog on," we always say and hear. "Passion separates successful from unsuccessful bloggers," etc. I'm, sorry, but passion alone is not enough!

You also need a "beat." What am I talking about? It's so simple and obvious we overlook it!

For example, I have a friend who is passionate about surfing. He lives to surf. His whole life is set up around being able to drop everything when "surf's up!" His vacations are only to surf spots.

He has passion, but, when he's not surfing, he doesn't care to talk about it much. He doesn't follow discussions on the latest surf spots, new and better surfboards, different techniques, and other stuff surfers may follow.

In other words, he doesn't have a "beat" when it comes to surfing. He does it endlessly, but he doesn't follow it. He wouldn't make a good blogger on surfing, despite his passion.

I have another friend who is passionate about wine. Drinks it daily. He has a few thousand bottles in his cellar. His wine is worth more than his house!

But he doesn't particularly care to discuss wine, as most oenophiles do, other than "what should we open?" He doesn't follow what's new in the wine world, what the latest vintage of XYZ is like, what the grape current growing conditions are like in his favorite wine growing areas, etc.

He used to years ago, but he's lost his beat (happily) and now just thrives on drinking the stuff! Passion, but no beat. You won't (and shouldn't) see him blogging.

Successful bloggers need passion, but they also need a "beat." They need to both be passionate about, immersed in, and naturally following what they're blogging on.

3 Harsh Facts About Blogging

Bloggers tend to be overly optimistic and that sometimes clouds our judgment, myself included. Here are some facts to get us back to earth.

1) Blogging is a fad!

That doesn't mean there isn't any long-term value: there is, but the wild growth of the blogosphere is going to stop soon and there will be a lot of ex-bloggers. Lots of fads have long term value and blogging will be a useful and valuable tool for a long time to come.

2) You can't blog on whatever you think is "cool" and build a large audience.

You need focus. If you are already famous, you might be an exception. If you've got millions of raving fans, yes, you can blog on whatever you want and they'll read it. However you'll never build millions of raving fans this way. So you will need to pick a focus for your blog and stick to it in order to succeed.

3) You'll never quit your day job to blog.

Less than 1% of bloggers will do it fulltime and professionally, and those that do will spent time on blog related activities you might not consider "real blogging," like dealing with advertising, joint ventures, creating info products, and more -- i.e. the business stuff. Blogging can be a business, whether you blog fulltime for yourself, as a paid staff writer for a blog network, or even if you just make a few extra bucks from your own blog. Don't count on blogging paying the mortgage and other substantial bills however. If it does, you're dedicated, hard working, and lucky!

Blogging is great, but let's keep things in perspective, something hard to do for passionate bloggers.

Freelance Blogging - Get More Blog Jobs

In the past year freelance blogging has taken off. Many businesses are becoming aware of the value of being visible online, and one of the easiest ways to get visible for minimal cost is via a blog. Therefore, many businesses want blogs, but don't have the staff to maintain them.

Enter you, the freelance blogger.

Let's look at how you can get more (and better) blog jobs.

1. Build Your Blogging Reputation

Start by building your blogging reputation. This means having at least one blog, which is updated regularly.

Many writers try to avoid expending any effort, but this is a huge mistake. If you're not well known as a blogger, you have no leverage when it comes to charging for your services. You'll be paid minimal rates, and chances are that you will burn out quickly.

On the other hand if you spend time in blogging for yourself, by creating a personal blog and at least one other blog, you will become known, and within a few short months, you will have more blogging job offers than you can handle.

2. Guest Blogger for Hire

Once you have your own blog, you can use other blogs is to help you to become well known. Look at other blogs in your niche, and offer to guest blog for one or several other blogs. As a guest blogger you will be able to promote your own blog, and you can let people know that you're a blogger for hire.

Make sure that you post your availability to blog for hire on your own blog. I'm always amazed when bloggers, who tell me they're looking for blog jobs, never mention this anywhere on their own blog. Put a "blogger for hire" notice in your sidebar. You should also put a notice in a banner.

On your About page, mention a ballpark figure you'd like to be paid for your services. Of course, you should add your email address and your cell phone number to your About page.

3. Sell a Complete Package

One of the benefits of running your own blogs, in addition to making yourself well known, is that you will become very experienced in installing and managing blogs . This experience can be profitable. (Actually all experience you have is profitable.) Offer a complete blogging packages for sale. You could offer a package which includes a domain name purchase, blog installation, and 10 blog posts, for example.

You can charge well for this service.

If you're interested in freelance blogging get started today. You can build your own profitable home business, which will grow more profitable every year.

Writing For Profit - Let Your Blog Put a Little Bling in Your Life

Blogging can be a great way to make money if you set out with the right ideas. A properly set up blog can be very successful even thought the web has plenty of them.

This being said you should not start a blog just to make money; chances are you will be very disappointed. However you can make money with your blog if you approach it from the right direction and follow a few basic guidelines.

The first thing is simple, your blog should be about something that you are very passionate about and have some knowledge of. You do not have to be an expert on the subject; in fact perhaps it is better if you are not. Not being an expert on your topic can give you room to explore and write your blog and take your readers on the journey with you.

Writing on your blog will bring in a few readers at first, mostly people you know or you have told about your blog, but you are going to need to develop a large base of readers in order to make money. There are many ways to get people to your blog; all of them will take a time and effort on your part. You will need to look for other people's blogs that are on the same subject you are blogging on, spend some time on each of them and write good quality comments. As you write comments you can leave a link back to your blog, as other readers see what you have written they will follow the links to your blog.

Now that you have traffic coming in, where does the money come in? Just like the radio or television you make your money you need to run advertisements. This can be accomplished in several different ways, the most popular advertising method are the ones that pay per click type such as Google AdSense or Chitika. These pay you every time someone clicks on the advertisement. You can also make money with a number of affiliate programs such as Amazon, you should make sure that you tailor the advertisements you choose to match your site.

As your site continues to grow you may find that companies who specialize in making or selling products that relate to your blog will pay you to place advertising on your blog. If your blog becomes popular enough they may come to you, chances are though you are going to have to approach them first.

A well run blog can become a money maker but it takes hard work and dedication, you need to make plenty of high quality post not only on your blog but all over the web to keep traffic flowing into it. If you are not making money right from the start do not be discouraged keep at it, and it will come.

Making Money Blogging For Extra Income

The ability to begin making money blogging is no longer limited to writers. Blogging sites are offering to pay anyone who wants to blog, and depending on the site you can make some good money if you write enough to make it worthwhile. The good thing about blogging is you can write about anything and express your opinions about any topic you want. You can express political views or you can write about problems you are having at home. Some people use blogging as a journal to record events that may be going on in their lives and how they feel at a given moment.

Making money blogging can be a fun experience and a great way for students and others to improve their writing skills. Even if you don't have aspirations toward becoming a writer it's good practice. One of the most important keys to obtaining a good job is being able to write well, so by making money blogging you will accomplish two things at once: make some extra money and improve your writing skills. In many jobs if you want to move ahead you have to know how to communicate well in writing even if your job is of a manual variety. For instance, you may be a foreman in a factory but it's necessary to know how to write well so that you can documents events that occur during your shift. If you don't have the ability to write well you will not go far in the management field.

Making money blogging can be a start for the aspiring writer who wants to improve his or her skills before seeking publication. That isn't to say that anyone is going to comment on the quality of the writing but it will at least allow the writer to begin getting paid to write and learn how to improve the writing style. The more you write the better you will become even if you aren't really trying to do so. It's natural to learn from your mistakes and any writer can tell you as they read something they wrote years ago they notice a difference in their writing and can't believe they even wrote such "garbage."

Blogging has become so popular that blogging sites are actually asking people to write and are offering money for them to do so. Unlike contracting with a magazine, publisher or editor, you have complete control over what you write-within certain limitations of course-instead of someone telling you the subject and the word count of the article they want you to write. You are in control and it doesn't matter if you call a politician dumb because it's your blog and your opinion. The only restrictions are within the scope of the blogging site and copyright law. If you are a student with aspirations of becoming a writer, you can start now by making money blogging to gain experience and improve the way you write while you're still in school.

If you want to make money online and you don't have enough money to own a website, then you should start with a blog. Many have been earning a living with blog when it was introduced.

The first thing you need is to invest in a blogging guide.

Why do you need a guide you ask?

For starter, having a guide helps you to stay ahead of the competition. You gain an upper hand against the bloggers who refuse to invest in a guide. If you're still a beginner at blogging, there are probably still a lot of things you're very unsure about and may not be sure where to begin. Blogging is actually quite easy to learn once you get a handle on the important factors. While you may not become instantly rich overnight, if done correctly, you can make some excellent money by blogging.

The two most important things to get you started with blogging are your niche and your blog content. Your niche is your area of interest. There are probably hundreds of things you're interested in but not all of them enough to write a blog on continually and make money. You'll be blogging on a regular basis so choose a topic that is going to hold your interest. You may want to do some research on Google on your topic.

5 Tips to Improve Your Business Blog

Do you have a business blog that seems to absorb all your efforts and still doesn't perform up to your expectations? Many folks start a blog with the desire to make money online but often are guilty of misdirecting their efforts leading to frustration and a lack of success.

If this sounds like you let's consider 5 points you may need to re-focus on to improve your results.

• Learn to give your readers with what it is they want or need. Many bloggers focus primarily making money and neglect the readers. Remember without readers THERE IS NO BLOG. Listen to their comments; in fact encourage them to leave comments. By responding and acting upon their concerns or needs you are creating an environment 'tailor made' for them. It was their input that guided the creation of this environment to begin with

• If you don't have anything to say in a post then don't post. Feeling compelled to post every day or even multiple times daily could lessen the quality of your content. Emphasize QUALITY over QUANTITY when posting to your blog. If you post good quality content your readers will be willing to wait a day for it as oppose to reading shallow and pointless ramblings. If this occurs too often you can kiss your readers good-bye and say hello to a decrease in your blog traffic.

• Be careful to not become 'anchored' to your blogging duties. A blog is born out of the passion the blogger has for the blogging material itself. By investing an over abundance of time to your blog you run the risk of burning out. Push back from time to time to re-energize. Fresh, invigorating, and insightful blog posts are what the readers want and it would be difficult to deliver this if you're overworked.

Business blogs are a fine balance between a blogger passionate about the topics they post on and a desire to make money online. It is important to remember you always need to put your reader's FIRST. Introducing any aspect of your marketing strategy should be secondary to this.

• Conduct a blog search for sites that offer content related to yours. By visiting these sites you can pick up new ideas not only for your content but also for the blog layout itself. Also don't be afraid to participate at these blogs by leaving a comment when appropriate. Leaving a comment that is useful, humorous, or insightful will catch the eyes of other participants. With a link back to your site in your signature file you can usually expect an increase in your blog traffic. Once again however your comments should appropriate!

• In addition to a blog search find forums and other online communities that contain niches within related to your blogging theme. Once again your participation and interaction at these sites can help you boost your blog traffic. This should be part of your overall marketing strategy due to the strength of networking.

Although a business blog is established for the purpose of making money online it is essential to remember the readers come first. They arrived at your site for the content not the merchandise. Your primary responsibility is to supply good quality content whether it's informative, humorous, or insightful. Always set aside your blog marketing efforts until your readers needs have been met first.

Get Started Blogging - Blog Your Passions

Are you disappointed with blogging? Many people start a blog, and then when they don't make money within a month or two, they let the blog die. A blog takes commitment, which comes from passion.

Nine times out of ten, your blog fails because you failed to plan at the beginning made mistakes without realizing. For example, a common mistake is choose too wide a topic for your blog.

Here's a blogging secret: the more tightly focused your blog's topic is, the faster it will succeed. This means that when you choose to blog about something you really love -- your passions -- you have a better than average chance of success.

Let's see how you can blog your passions.

1. Make a List of Your Passions

Start by making a list of your passions.

What could you list? Perhaps you're passionate about Abbot and Costello movies, green living, finding the perfect homemade vanilla ice cream recipe, your marine aquarium and your car.

2. Can You Make Money Blogging About Marine Aquariums?

You could make money blogging about any of the topics we mentioned above. For example, if you type "marine aquariums" into Google, you'll see that there are many advertisements for fish tanks and other products listed on the right hand side of the search results page. This shows you that people are spending money on the topic, and when they're spending money, there's money to be made.

3. Decide Who Your Audience Is

So, let's say you've decided to blog about marine aquariums, specifically your own -- what fish you've added, how the fish are growing, your local enthusiasts' group, and so on. Next, you must decide on your audience -- this is vital.

Who's your audience?

Your audience could be: fellow marine aquarium hobbyists, people making money from aquariums (shop owners), people studying fish (marine biologists)...

Choosing a tight focus on both your topic, and your audience, ensures your success. People will visit your blog for a reason, and if they're not your chosen audience, they'll leave as quickly as they arrived.

4. Will You Keep Your Blog, or Sell It?

The last decision you make before you get down to blogging is: will you keep the blog, or will you simply get it set up, earning an income, and then sell it?

It's advisable to think about whether you'll sell your blog during your planning, because if you want to sell quickly, then monetization -- getting your blog earning fast -- is all-important. You'll want to choose a topic which can be quickly monetized, and an audience for that topic which is used to spending money in that area.

So there you have a quick method of starting a blog which is based on your passions, and which has a great chance of success. Happy blogging!

How Successful is Blogging?

Blogging has been around a few years and continues to grow in popularity. Whether you're the owner of the blog or someone that comes to the site and adds his own blog, income can be made from blogging. There are different types of blogging sites. Some may be dedicated to a specific niche while others may be more diverse and have a variety of subject matter discussed.

Blogging can be successful for both the owner and the visitor but it's not an easy process so don't expect overnight success. I'm going to assume that you're the owner of the blog site. If you're still a beginner at blogging, you'll probably find it more beneficial if you stick to a certain niche market. This way, you know the people that are reading your blog and posting to it are interested in your type of product and service. If you have repeat bloggers coming to your post (and you will), this gives you an opportunity to develop a business relationship with them. People are more apt to want to buy from a "friend" than someone they don't feel they know or trust.

You'll find there are many ways to make income from your blogging including AdWords, keyword phrases, affiliate marketing and just plain advertising your product and your website. To date, Google AdSense is the most successful way to earn an income off your blogging, especially if you're a newbie at blogging. To those unfamiliar with AdSense, it's an advertising program. The publisher of the blog will put a code in their blog. Through this code, Google will know what your page is about and will serve ads on that particular subject. This will increase the number of people clicking on your ad. Google AdSense also offers other money-making opportunities including referral tools, where you can make money if you refer Google products to potential customers or a site search tool, where you can earn money if people search your site. If you're new at this, you really want to check out Google AdSense.
